Gold river steelhead

Going to be in gold river in January 17th- 19th... Thought i might as well try my luck for some steelhead... Any pointers? Never fished on the gold river before, but spent a lot of time in the area in the summer.

I am no fan of pink worms (not sure why, just not my fav). But they were outfishing my single eggs last year big time. I had good luck with blades though. So I'd go for one of those bigger presentations, worms or blades. And every year I persuade one or two with a big brass spoon. There will be fish in the system when you're there, so get out there and hammer it. A beautiful place to fish.

One of my favorite places to fish but really water dependant. If you get higher water with a bit of colour, you should be in Hog Heaven.

Didnt get to fish as much as i had hoped , but did get a couple hours in. Water was low and clear... not a sniff. OH well.
