Does anyone no anything about this lake? I am considering fishing it on sunday. I went there once to find a boat launch, but I found a little park were I can launch. What sort of fishing methods should I try? Has anyone fished it latley.

Glen Lake is a little hidden gem. I havent fished it in a few years. When I was going to school at belmont I used to keep my rod with me and my buddies and I would meet there at the dock off the Goose Trail. There is a little dock. Used to use one small marshmallow for hot chocolate and a worm and float it off bottom. Got many 18" bows there. Have never fly fished it. Want to get the boat down there and try but its not to convenient.

I read in island fisherman magazine a guy doing really well in there with flies a few years ago.

Glen Lake is stocked with rainbows, plus there are quite a few bass in the lake. Langford has done a very nice job of upgrading the park on the lake including the boat launch. There's also a fishing dock there if you don't have a boat. I have caught a ton of fish in Glen Lake over the years.

I have had quite a bit of luck on the east side of the lake, midway between aerator and shore heading to the floating bridge - usually with wee-tads and frog flatfish - nothing huge - up to 16" typical. Not that much success dragging flies, but I don't fish it tons. There are also 5-7lb bass that hang out under the aerator (snorkel them in the summer) - good luck catching though!

thanks, hud52 and Deewar25, I will drag the boat down there on sunday, I will be exclusively fishing flies, so we see how that goes.
