Georgia Strait fishing and boating trip ideas?

I am planning a week long trip from Vancouver north upto Cortez island. Bringing my kids on my fishing boat.
My brother and family going on his grand banks. Plan is fish swim harvest beachcomb and relax. Trip is early August.
I am looking for ideas on places to stop, fish, prawn etc. Also good anchorages along the way.

A nice place to stop on your way out is Thormanby Island just off halfmoon-bay on the sunshine coast. There is a sheltered area to anchor and a nice beach / camping park. Kids can swim as it's fairly shallow off the beach. Crabbing was decent last time we were there a few years ago.

Desolation Sound!!! we camp on shore in Tenedos Bay every August, but there are some beauty anchorages in there too! Right close to Unwin Lake if you need a bath too!
