gas powered log splitter recommendations

Hi there,

Looking at getting a gas powered log splitter (not electric). Lots of options out there, but I am sure some are lemons.

Anyone have experience with the Lumber Jack splitters? Gibsons Building Supplies has the 25 TON 196CC and also 37 TON 277CC models. I think the 25 TON would be plenty for my needs.

Anyways, curious to know if anyone has recommendations of forewarnings.

Thanks!

I've got the 25 ton Echo. Been fantastic for me

Mine is a 25 ton BE with a Honda engine. So far it has not met a piece of wood it will not split, and I have given it some pretty gnarley stuff.

I bought one of these green machines about ten years ago. Has not missed a beat since. I use it in the vertical position all the time. Nice that it folds down for towing. Backing up is impossible but easy to move around for two people.
PS, there might be a used one for sale cheap at the legislature
