Furuno 1830 radar?

When I bought my boat a couple of seasons ago the previous owner threw in a Furuno 1830 radar system. I have never tried to use it so have stored it in my garage. Not even sure if it works but was wondering if I should give it a try or get rid of it. Any ideas? It seems like a bulky system, but if it is worth keeping..

Furuno make a great machine. Prob was worth 5 k new. Commercial guys all used them. Update the charts and try it. Heavy duty and reliable they last for years.

No charts in that radar. Too old. There big but they work good
