Funny fishing stories

Anyone have any funny fishing stories they would like to share? I got a few.. but I'll just start the topic and add mine later.

It was a slow day out Sooke way this summer...Not a fish to be found!With his rod already in the water for some time...it was due to be changed. Before bringing up his line, he carefully rigs up a new anchovie and a flasher. My rusty fishing pal then attaches the new flasher to the flasher already on his line...therefore running some sort of double flasher set up. Realizing his mistake and after taking some heat from the buddies, he decides to send her down anyway....The next thing you know a 20 lb spring....the only fish of the day.

Took the Mrs out fishing between Hut and Bowen Island a ciouple years ago. She managed to reel in some kind of sea enemity along with the 20 pound boulder he was attached to. We kid her that she probably holds some kind of record for largest rock caught on rod and reel!!

I've got a few good stories from my years of guiding. One trip I had some clients that no matter what I did they weren't happy. Lots of fish wild life good weather, but they were just two grumpy guys. Their trip of three days and four nights fell on July first, so on the dessert at the lodge there was little canada flags on tooth picks. I had to take them out after dinner so I grabbed some tooth picks, headed to the boat to get ready and cut up two herring, bent their tales and stuck a Canada flag tooth pick in them. The owner of the lodge couldn't believe it so he took a pic. and we headed off to one of my fav. spots and dropped the lines down for these guys and not 10mins later spring on. One of the clients brought the fish in and it ended up being 31pnds, I couldn't believe it.
