I thought about this winch at one point. I'd like to hear your review of it.

It works great I just stuggle with it only having one good arm. It's way over kill for my boat. Once you learn how to use it it's a pretty dam slick little unit.

I assume you can change out the strap to the yellow heavy duty kind?

It's a 3200 pound two speed winch...It has the near new factory strap that came with it that I would guess is rated for a minimum 3200 pounds. If you ever wear out the strap you can remove the side cover pull the pin and easily replace the strap by releasing a pull pin..

I will be driving to Qualicum/Parksville area tomorrow if someone between here and there wants it.

Hey Fish Assasin, your quote "dont ever take your boat to Parker marine" couldnt be more on the mark, went there last week to "try" and get a fuel filter, had all the part #,s written down, brand name, then the guy at the front desk says, whats it off of, even tractors and ski-doos have fuel filters (so me walking into a boat store) was not good enough, then told him outboard, engine brand CC,s etc, he says these #,s mean nothing to me, out the door I walk, go up the hill to CV Marine, he looks up the part # online, boom in 30 seconds hands me a filter.....WTF Parker Marine dont go there!!! How true!

Must agree with Parker comments. Sales could care less. Prices are high. Staff is brutal. Rather drive an hour to Port BH or go down to Brechin for Merc. Never heard anything good about Parker.
