Hey my mechanic reccomended I buy and install a fuel filter for my outboard listed above. Is this really necessary and why? First boat so trying to learn the ins and outs. Also, who has a reliable mechanic? Was supposed to take friends out today and mine isn't answering his phone after he told me he would call me at 5:30am. Frustrated. [V]

Thanks,
Nick

I agree but ALWAYS replace the filters at least once a year!!!!!!!!!

needs to be done or bad things happen...

Where are you located? I just happen to know a really good mech. in CR. And yea, definately install a drainable racor filter and check it frequently.
