Hey guys,

Anyone looking for a boat that can do double duty for both salmon/hali fishing and cruising/overnights with the family -- we've decided to move up and list our Bayliner 288 -- cruise with the family (with dedicated sleeping for 4 plus an extra double bed on the convertible dinette), bright open living area all above the waterline. Boat is simple to singlehand -- for fishing, docking etc... I've taken this boat the last 4 years off the coast of Bamfield. Handles the rough water well and comfortable for spending many nights in the Broken Group.

Tons of upgrades:
- 20Hp Tohatsu kicker on swimstep with full cockpit steering and throttle controls
- cockpit mounts for Scotty downriggers (riggers not included)
- Lowrance HDS-8 in cockpit with sidescan, 3G radar, Navionics Platinum
- Mercmonitor networked to plotter to provide full engine data (all monitoring points and gauges visible on Lowrance)
- Dual fuel flow monitors (both engines)
- New Bravo III Seacore leg in 2011 with 4x4 counter-rotating props
- fuel injected 300Hp Mercruiser (new alternator, water pump) -- quick to plane at full loads, cruises at 22-25kts at 3900RPM -- max speed 32-34kts.
- Lewmar windlass with 50ft chain and 200ft rode
- New vinyl plank flooring in galley
- Dual Trojan 6V 225AH House batteries + dedicated start battery
- Blue Sea ACR
- 85W solar panel + 10A charge controller
- Large fridge
- tons of internal cupboard space and storage
- custom walnut rod storage
- bottom painted, full engine, filters, bellows and oils all changed
- new Sunbrella flybridge and window coverings
- new cockpit awning (not pictured) to keep you dry while fishing
- boat is turnkey and ready to go.
- boat has a 9'6" beam and loaded weight is approximately 9000lbs -- can be trailered (trailer not included)

This boat can easily cruise at 25kts and can hit WOT of approximately 32kts.....but can stay on plane right down to about 12-14kts. The 288 is one of the only combo family sportfish/cruiser boats out there. Galley/dinette are all "up top" above the waterline with a large king v-berth and second double quarterberth large enough for 1 adult or 2 kids. The boat is set up to allow you to stay on the hook for an extended period -- we've spent many week-long ventures in the Broken Group.

Listed at $49K Canadian.

Hey lads

Had the boat off the market for a bit over the summer. Was listed over the fall with another broker, but that hasn't worked out.

Boat is back up for sale and is being listed with Freedom Marine on Jan 23rd. Any SFBC members interested -- send me a PM.

That boat has a sweet layout for a cruiser but still able to fish off. That would be a great boat for week long trips.

Nice boat. Very tempting, if only bigger boats didn't cost more for everything lol, fuel moorage. Currently own a 07 2359 trophy yours would be a similar step up.

Some new photos:

All waxed and shiny at the end of the summer:
