Any body have their digital count freeze up on them. Tried resetting but nothing. Can't seem to find any online discussions about it either

I have had 3 on each of my 1106 scottys over the last 16 years. If you originally bought them and are registered they are a warranty item. Take it in.

I've had a bunch of issues with the hp digital counters 4-5 now, I now keep extras on board,
Call Craig at Scotty he should look after it

I will get a hold of them. Great idea keeping a couple extras.
its a real pain when your trying to set and it quits,
just had another go weekend before last, 2 minute change and your ready to go again,
sometimes if you take it apart the sensors get wet internally, take them out and dry and see if it will work
waiving a magnet past it will tell you if its working rather then taking to the boat

Only had maybe 6 hrs on the rigger. We kept swapping lids every time we re - set. Real pain in the butt.

seems to be a common problem, I replace one a year it seems, easy replacement, not cheap.

Talked to a guy a scotty they have a new digital counter in with a lifetime warranty I'm sure there free

The next day my second counter went. Glad I bought a spare. Bought the riggers at the pirate day sale so not old at all. Going to write scotty to let them know.

Scotty is great about their product, they WILL do what they can to make it right. That's what made that company what it is

I bought a set in march, I've had 3 counters go already since buying them. Scotty will send you new ones as long as you've registered the warranty, still a huge pain. I was surprised there was nothing on line about it as they're about $45 a shot to replace if you don't have warranty, bound to **** a few people off. If they made a high power with the old counter is be all over it.

Got my new counters in the mail today from scotty, nice to see they now have an on/off switch too.
I have to say it again, Scotty's service is second to none! even on 3 year old riggers, where the counters have a 2 year wty, but being that I've had so much contact with them and my counters they good willed them to me
Craig is da man!!

The new counters are a diaster, I have had 3 in last month Scotty knows about this problem & will replace them never mind the short warranty but they are a bad design

Glad i stuck to my old 2 belters. Had them since 1991.

Those rod holders on the new hp's are very scary too!

I take it they are new as I have had 3 in the last month, first they go misty with moisture then they pack in obviously when we are fishing. If you are having troubles call Craig at Scotty 1-800 214 0141. He is very nice & understanding but that doesnt solve problem.

The rocket holders are very difficult to operate when a big fish is on & one hasnt had much experience I took them off & replaced them with the rotating adjustable ones, costs a few bucks but keeps wife happy

there are now 2 different digital counters, the old style the display stays on all the time, and the new style just out have an on/off switch so you can shut off the counter.
which are you having problems with new or old? I have had issues with the old style and will try these new ones out this weekend
