Freshwater Opportunities near Shearwater

Those rocky islands around Shearwater don't have much for streams at all if it's freshwater you want the Bella Coola Valley and maybe Ocean Falls is where you want to fish.
That being said why bother?
If it's fly gear you want to use try casting near kelp beds with something that has a bit of Pink in it, let the fly sink and strip it back fairly quick-or just let it drag in the boat's wake when you're trolling for Springs seen that work well many times.

I will take any pointers, I am a river fly fisher going on an Ocean trip. My buddy has all the Ocean gear, but I will be pushing him to either fish in close so I can cast or drop me off for the day somewhere to hike! ha ha
I'd love to get into Ocean Falls and check out whats left of the old town anyways so thanks as well for that!
