Does anyone know what the most popular freshwater sport fish is in B.C.?

I would love to take my son fishing & I thought I would ask those of you who might know before we head out....

you can trout fish in most of the lakes around BC and then there is Bass fishing. Where are you planing to go fishing ?Skaha Lake has both and Lake Okanagan Lake has large trout.
