Found Crab Trap 28 Jan... Bare Point-Shoal Islands-Chemainus Area

On Jan 28th I was prawning and crabbing off Chemainus. Off shoal islands I narrowly missed running over a length of floating line on the surface with nothing on the end but a light plastic spool floating just at the surface. There was no float on this rig that projected above the surface so I assumend that someone had lost their float. I pulled the rig so no one would end up running over the floating line and I now have it. If anyone lost this trap or knows of someone who did please PM me and describe the rig and I will return it.

This summer I pulled a trap that was floating through through the narrows towards bold bluff that had a plastic spool on it. It also had a float but I think it was a milk jug or something silly. I wonder if it's the same guy and still can't keep track of his stuff...
