Flow meter

I have a flow meter with an analog gauge for gallons per hour and a digital readout for total gallons used and the digital read out isn't functioning. Would any one have any thoughts on what the problem might be?

I have to warm up the boat and have it dried out.. Then it shows up.. I thinks the lcd screen does not like the cold or damp.
