hey there im heading out camping at tent island on the wekend and im wondering if theres still fish around there or near there. and also if someone could tell me what side and where to go out of porlier for the salmon.?

I think its worth a try if the weather lets you get out in the straight. Taking all the required boating precautions and an array of suitable trolling gear head out of porlier pass and turn right. Get to about 160' depth on the sounder and fish that contour down galiano island, if you hook up mark it on the gps and turn around and fish that spot a couple more passes. When you are done with that head back down the contour and repeat as required. When you get to the RCA either turn and head back up or run over the RCA to the bottom end and resume fishing down the island. Sometimes the current is messing with your tack and its better to run down first and troll back up the island. After you do this for a few trips you get a bunch of marks on your gps and you get to know which ones work best. Some marks you hit fish real often others not so much.Print this out for future reference, good luck, I feel sorry for the fish already.

I agree with this post. There are alot of guys on here that could report a little more about there experiences. I come on here and its the first thing I look for. A thread about somones adventure. Especially the ones we all wish we could go on!
