Fishing spots in oak bay

I recently bought a 16.5foot k&c thermoglass and I'm wanting to do some salmon/rock fishing launching from cattle point. I've read about a place called "the gap" but I'm not sure where it is. Can anyone point me in the direction of some good fishing spots?

Gap is east of Cattle point between the chain islands on the west and Chatham and Discovery on
the East.
Fish the trench 80-100' on an ebb tide for best results.
It can be hit & miss....

The gap is also good for lingcod and rockfish. Basically, find any pinnacle or mound on the bottom, drop down your jig and try not to get snagged on the rocks before you hook up a nice fish. But watch out for the Rockfish Conservation Areas (RCAs) in the area. The Angler's Atlas "My Catch" app detects your location and lets you know if you've wandered into an RCA -- I find it's more up to date than even the Navionics charts.
