Fishing resort help!

I want to take my family for a long weekend fishing some where this summer. I would like it to be fairly nice and have a place to keep the boat tied up for the weekend. I need the place to sleep four and be child friendly( 4 and 2 years old)

So far the only thing I've found that that might work is moutcha bay.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of options, just depends how far you want to go, what you want to spend and if you just want accommodation or guiding as well. Moutcha is nice, expensive and books very solidly months in advance.

Alder Bay, near Port McNeill, has moorage and a couple of trailers for rent that could easily accommodate two adults and two little ones.

Do some digging and you will find several options in Nootka Sound or Esperenza if your considering Moocha, again depending on how far you are willing to run.. I'd have to say there are 6-7 lodges in that general area.

Barkley Sound Lodge! google it! 5 minutes from toqart fishing and day trips to ukee. Bring your Boat of course!

You can moor a boat at any Government Wharf in BC. I put a hole in my boat once driving to Bamfield. The road out to Moutcha bay isn't a lot better. I'd use google maps to find a good location, the search for "marina". There are many private marina's - I have been doing this type of thing for 35 years. Campbell River area is nice & catching the last couple years have been great. Tyee Marine in town gives out accurate & timely advice, as well as fair prices on lures that work well in the area like a Tomic 6-7 inch 602 UVBII (UV body, iridescent insert with a glow stripe on the bottom trolled about 180 ft deep at a place called the Hump on a slack tide). Painters lodge is nice & might have moorage, & Guide boats are cheap enough to think about leaving your boat at home.
