FISHING NANAIMO,NANOOSE

Has anybody been out in the last week,I was out Monday trolled the brick down towards lantzville with hardware and anchovie at 100' to about 120' and @#&* all. Good prawning though>Cheers M.T.

Took a troll for a few hours off Scooner Cove friday, not a sniff, marina said was quite slow recently out there, the spring runs should be comin soon I hope though. No bait showing either however it was the first time I fished the area, usually spend my time out off Nanaimo.

good luck

Nothing to do with your post but you two have two of the coolest handles on the site. I really like Fog Ducker. Are these your boat names? (no I am not looking to steal a name)

Tips

NO tips it's not my boat name it's just the way my two expensive hobbies do to my wallet,my boats name is Paige too it's a 2004 seaswirl stiper.[:p]

im afraid not, but the plan is eventually to Name my (to be) boat that, I have never seen a Fog Ducker out there, however that doesn't mean there isn't one. Currently i float around in a 16' open aluminium, it has no name, perhaps i should change that. some other funny boat names i like are 'balls deep', and 'wet dream', hmm... i think there is some sort of pattern emerging here.... A boat i want is a 23 foot shamrock with a Yanmar diesel, cruise consumption is 4 gallons per hr, just end up with the M.T wallet upfront, the motors alone are 30k +.. ouch

Saw a 20' or so boat named Fog Ducker at Bamfield last year.
Don't know if he's registered but in that area it's a perfect name.

MT WALLET, you will find MT POCKETS (as a boat name)is already taken and known on the WCVI. Not sure if it's registered but if you were interested in doing that you can check with Transport Canada's website below and see if the name you desire is already registered or not. I haven't looked for some time, but last time I did registration was voluntary and there was a significant fee to register a pleasure craft as opposed to licensing it.
MT WALLET certainly falls in line with the boat acronym "B"ring "O"ut "A"nother "T"housand.

Since everyone seems to be hijacking this post, I will too. Fogducker, there's a 23' Shamrock for sale (i think ) at the Hourston yard. If it is indeed yer dream boat, give Bill a call...

There a fog ducker in sooke that name has been used for at least 25 years by the same owner

Mt wallet

The kill fish forum has tonnes of Nanaimo guys on it

We were out by Entrance today until it got too rough. Until then we fished half way to the flat tops, back around Oribar Point and in front of Gabriola a bit. Finally got into a good fish but lost it. Cut plug at 120 ft. Oh well. Thanks to the prawn & crab gods we didn't come home empty handed. I've got to start making better offerings to the wind god's though. It came up fast today and trap pulling a real chore.

HEY MT Wallet. Talking about MT Pockets, I saw an "Empty Pockets" docked at the float plane warf at Brecken today. Kind of a catchy name I guess. It was a "Merican" boat from Washington.

There is an MT Pockets in Nanaimo.

It is on an older, but mint, trophy, 23 ft I believe.

It is owned by one of the past owners of Poett Nook. The last two years he has boated and fished out of the Ucluelet area. I can't remember the name of the campground.

He's had that boat and name for at least 15 years.
