Fishing for Kids

Hi guys, I'm new to this site and was wondering if anyone new any good lakes to fish near Abbotsford. I'm just getting my 7 year old son into the sport and would like to give him a positive experience.

mill lake in abbotsford was just stocked with 1000 catchable trout plus it has bass in there too! bobber and worm or powerbait on bottom will produce as well as fly fishing hope this helps!

Thanks for idea about mill lake. Does anyone know if there is a better spot to fish there.

I once took the kids to Albert Dyke park which is a waterski club's little lake. It had bass and skulpin/bull heads in it. There was a beach and the whole nine yards so it'd be a good try in the early summer.
Fishtrap creek park has largemouth.

I tried Rolley lake last year and had good success during the summer.
Has anyone tried it during the spring.
