Fishing Cabin

Hey Guys


I was wondering if any of the members have a waterfront cabin on vancouver island that they rent out? I'm not looking for anything fancy and something remote or floating would be even better. It would be for a few guys and a couple boats looking to do somefishing.

Where on the Island are you looking for? There are a number of rentals around.

I have stayed at poett Nook,Critter Cove and the Sea Beams. I'm looking for a small more remote cabin with a few fish around. I was hopein to try something north islad but I'm looking at all the options. I would even look at a cabin on the Central Coast where I would have to put my boat in at Bella Coola and boat out? Im just starting my search early to find something good for next year. I would like to try Alert Bay or Telegraph Cove sometime. I don't know what the fishing is like up that way but I think its pretty good for Hali??

I know the floating cabins from the outside but I don't know the new owner. Truly in a nice spot and very close to the major fishing grounds at Winter Harbour. Book for late July early August if you can -best weather and fish.Some of the fishing may be inside at that time but otherwise you will need a seaworthy off-shore boat if you are doing it yourself.

Westview Marina/ Tahsis has a really nice rental cabin ....a really nice house actually out in the 'cut'.... also can't remember the guys name but there is a float cabin rental in Jewett Cove , Nootka. Its a lovely spot and the cabin is basic rustic. There wa a hread last year about this cabin's owner/manager ..maybe do a search or contact Jim Pook- SushiHunter ...i think Jim knows whio the owner is.

I believe Richard is pretty booked up for the cabins in Jewett cove but if you are interested I can always pass his number along to you.
Get up there ever year for 5 days - Great place to stay

Thanks for all the idea's I spoke with the guy at Jewett Cove both cabins are booked solid July and Aug and he has many people wanting to get in there. I guess the guys love it so much they never let it go.
