Favourite Teaser Head Colours.

Rhys Davis Bulletroll Special, cop car with gold scales. Works great at Nootka Sound year after year.

UV green and Purple haze for me, i like the Rhys davis anchovey special,I tune them with a slight bend using stainless steel wire inserted down the fishes back to achieve the perfect slow role that imitates a wounded fish.

Thanks to Derby ;)......picked up some Kripple K -602 heads; used them off WCVI and in our local Vancouver waters with pretty good success!! They are a definite staple in my gear box....they trumped my favourite head which WAS the purple/black/chrome one.

Clear chartruese green with an glow eye sticker on it.. Inshore barkley sound.. 60' down in 100' contour..

One of the best days I had was with no teaser heads and sticking them whole

However, I am a cheapo when it comes to teaser heads so I don't buy many colour patterns.....I prefer to spend my money on hooks.

Glows, Clear, UV purple, Red and UV Green are the staples for me.

Finally Used some UV White ones which worked very well one day...maybe it was the difference in putting fish in the table that afternoon but I doubt it. ..got those from Derby a couple of years ago and finally got around to putting them down. a Rhys Davis Anchovy Special Knock off. an OA12 colour. Cohos loved it too.

These days I do my fishing in the Vancouver, Howe Sound, Fraser River Mouth and Gabriola area.

uv is almost all i use except during a plankton bloom when i use 602 glow down deep and chartruse shallow

After buying just about every color pattern out there I have two that I use every day now for the last 5 years or so. Its the "Bloody Nose" or Army Truck Pattern. Early morning or overcast days I use the glow and on sunny days I use the chrome version. And Like Andrew P I use a wire in all my heads.

I have a ton of different colors but mostly use the Jelly Fish Green Haze Scaled JDF head. How are you guys attaching the wires to the the heads? I have heard about this but no really sure how to do it. Also copper vs stainless wire?

If this image works it will show you the basic idea of the wire in a teaser head (http://www.bdoutdoors.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=138761&d=1243916986). Copper vs stainless doesn't matter, I've used stainless in the past. I forget what gauge but you just want something that is only stiff enough to hold a bend in the anchovy.

For a few years now teaser heads have been sold with two holes in them meant for adding wire, otherwise you'd just punch the wire through like the pictures attached.

A well brined anchovy doesn't really need the wire IMO... I rarely use them anymore but they are effective for guaranteeing you have a roll, especially in poorly brined or non brined bait. My 2 cents anyways

Krippled Anchovy purple/green UV with some black dots on the top of the head put on with a sharpie.

I like the wire for me its quick and cheap insurance. I just get some stainless wire from a welded spool gun works great!

The teaser heads are even better when the spring have crushed them..... it's retirement time then... :)

I just buy only one that is black made of steeliness still, and i also like golden color also, fished beside my house in the river bank.
