I've had g/l with a 4 inch 140 where ever I go.
Here's a place that has the colors listed. I don't see my 140 there

My standard go to plug is a Tomic 602. I also like the 500, and the 530.
A couple of years ago, I was in Port Alberni and dropped into a tackle store that was advertising Tomic Plugs at good prices. I picked through them and found one that is very similar to the hootchy that I have had a lot of luck with. There is no number printed on it and I have no idea what it is. I showed it to Cathrine Forbes at Critter Cove a while back and she knew exactly what it was - wish I'd written it down. [

This one has actually caught a few fish for me over the years.
I would love to get some custom painted where the stripe went down each side instead of across the top. Also, I would add a red slash behind the eye.
BTW, the colors are a bit washed out in the photo. The flash kind of does that. I tried to correct in Photoshop, but could only do so much.

cut the tow bars off and the Classics run just great opposite a rod with a flasher.
I do use fluro leaders back to a sampo BB swivel, 8' or so. I also make up my own hooks: with the smaller plugs I use a double siwash tie with beads between the hooks. For the 5-7" plugs I use owen eye gami siwash hooks and berkely mcmohn swivels.
Not exactly C River, but when the water browns up just a whisker at..say Ferrer, the 232 reigns sublime..supreme..whatever

Haven't fished plugs much at all for salmon but that is about to change I think.
Back in the late 70's early 80's I was slaying huge Kamloops Rainbow's (to 10/lbs) up at Shuswap Lk with 4-inch red Mac-Squid plugs off my downrigger.
Absolutely deadly; if the fish were there, they were caught.

As crazy as it sounds that color plug might actually work. About 4 years ago we were fishing 7 Mile when we found an old 7" Tomic plug floating in a kelp ball that someone had apparently broken off. It had been hand painted that same yellow/chartuese but oesn't have the green stripe. I said what the heck and tied it on and it caught three springs that day including a 38lber. It's caught other springs since. I wish I had a couple more just like it. You just never know what works.

I picked up a bunch of plugs from a commy freind of mine, They all have a welded ring through the pin. Should i cut that off? What kind of action will I get if I tie to the ring? Some of them are rigged with octopus hooks, never seen that before! Oh yeah last year fishing barkley sound the 232 tomic seemed to produce very well.
