FAKE power pro WARNING!!!

its been showing up on ebay now for a little while, i just purchased three spools off ebay and all of them are fake.

look out for the barcode number 12649 10091, they will all use this barcode number regardless of yards/lb test

also look for the obvious spelling errors. lack of spaces or in my case it reads 100% specsdf fiber, instead or spectra fiber

Ebay is full of fake PP, has been for a couple years now.
I found out the hard way in 2010 when I got a bad spool of 200# for my riggers

If stuff isn't from a top rated seller with 1000's of sales I don't buy.

Guy that I work with just bought some jump drives 512 Gig. He should have known the price was too good. They fill up at about 30 Gig. amazing part is the packaging is a knockoff right down to the addresses website etc

the 100lb test i purchased was breaking below 50lb with a palmer knot, and at about 60 knotless (wrapped 50+times around a steel ring)
the actual 80 lb PP was happy with a palmer knot at 60 lbs

Way to many to list....... If the person has 10,000+ sales and 98% or better feed back I normally feel safe. I'll still read the neg. feedback to see what the complaints were.

I put some of that same stuff on my riggers Three years ago and havent had any problems with it. Figured it was worth a try. I run 15lbs ball with it

Are ebay deals really THAT good these days? I gave up on it pretty long ago...as anytime I wanted something, if I searched google I could usually come up with a reputable web site offering the same or better pricing, usually with free shipping. And you aren't dealing with fakes.

This was 2 seasons ago, but for line I found this site priced best for Power Pro.

a quick check on ebay shows a few within a couple bucks....how much was the fake roll if you dont mind my asking.
