Good Morning Everyone. Thank you for all the kind comments regading this Reel. I have used these Reels for both Trolling and Mooching.

The Longstone and its big brother, the Eddystone, were named after lighthouses in the UK. They were both designed for bottom fish but the Longstone found a second life for PNW salmon as its a classic single action knucklebuster
Unfortunately they fall prey to salt water oxidation ...I've had several that had the handles fall off from salt build up on the inside of the spool
The drag tightening knobs are small and hard to tighten and loosen when you get a takedown or to stop line creep when using it in a DR
I solved that by dipping the knob in epoxy and mixing in sawdust for better grip
I caught this on one of my Longstones...I retired it from active duty after that fish...plus it was hard to reel with just one handle as the spool wobbled...

They also make wonderful fly reels and have a loud clicker which is a bonus on a hot steelhead....
