this weekend i was camped at brewster lake with some family and sitting around the camp fire one evening we see a huge flame from the site above us. Turns out some guy came in just for the evening to have a fire and figured he would just dump some gas strait out of the can to get it going. well it lit up on him and he threw the thing across the site. by the time we got up with fire extinguishers there was flames close to 25 feet and had the ground been dry there would have been some serious issues. after some not so polite words to the guy from other campers we figured he would be on his way, but we were amazed to see another flame come from his site just 5 minutes later as he tried to get his campfire going again with another fuel can he brought. I guess he disregarded all the gas still around the site. after this we made it clear he was to leave and he did. crazy how reckless some people can be.
