Greetings! Regret to say I am not a great contributor: this being my first post since 1999.
Somewhere about the 24th June my downrigger release reach was liberated - in the proximity of Clutse Marina. So, given this intervening time, and the Liberator having made substantial use of the little beast, it's safe return would be appreciated!
For the unwashed multitudes that are not familiar with the little beast (or fain its use), it (mine) is (was) approx 1 metre in length, has (had) various fish lengths marked on it, and a brass hook at the end to retrieve the release clip when the Scotty boom is fully extended.
All this so the retriever does not fall overboard ... it is not that, with my age and all the maladies the doctors claim, I worry about the overboard; however, my preferred overboard being the Rat's Nose, in the proximity of such inboard places as China, caution is preferred.
