Dock Scale - Anyone know where to buy?

Hey Guys,

Just thought I would see if anyone knew where to find a dock scale as in what you see at cleaning stations? I have looked at Princess Auto.....they have scales but they are HUGE overkill unless you're killing the size of halibut they do in Norway or Alaska. Smallest one on their website goes to ~400lbs.

Ideally maybe something that goes to 100ish tops (Not that we catch anything close to 100lbs on this side ), and NOT digital as I am sure they may not weather too well in the elements.

I looked online at a couple of butcher supply places and did find one locally that had one that may fit the bill, just need to call and find out a price.

Hopefully something on the Mainland side of the water but if on the Island shipping would be minimal so not a big deal.

Try calling Richmond scale or any other commercial scale company for that matter, they will sell what you are looking for but as for price; you would need to call. Some commercial dealers also rent them, so you maybe able to pick up a used one through them as well. Good luck!

PNT in Steveston, Parksville and Prince Rupert stock digital models in their stores. Parksville has a couple for sure.

I guess some digitals must be built to withstand being outside/exposed, now that I think of it.

Ha.....actually they may put a cleaning table and scale in where we fish out of which will be WAY more enjoyable cleaning fish than bent over on my knees!
