Am using these more and more.......but still trying to get them set up right......(for Chinooks in salt water)

It has 3 holes at the back.......I'm using hole #3, which is widest arc.....

I'm using hoochy (reg) length of 26 inches on 40lb test.....

I'm running Coho Killers at 36 inches on 30lb test.....

Questions:-

(1) Is hole # 3 the best choice generally?

(2) Am I at the right lengths?.......(just going by general info on the package).....

The directions show leader lengths shorter than a regular HotSpot-type flasher......

I've never tried the Kite Tail with hootchies or spoons, but I have had success using a 5 foot leader from the 3 hole and an anchovie . Lots of fun with no flasher drag

Yes, short leader is important. Randy, the innovator uses 23 inch with hootchies

I had good success a week ago off Nanaimo with a 6 foot leader and 3.5 spoons....Landed 4 fish. Havent tried with a hoochie yet.
