First of all why is province selling and then zoning islands in the Fraser River in critical salmon habitat for industrial or agricultural use? The province never seems to bare any responsibility when it comes to our Pacific Salmon and Steelhead? But it’s largely provincial and civic policy destroying fish habitat and putting our fish at risk. We’re always quick to blame the feds, lord knows I am, but lately I’ve been thinking our province has done far more harm to our local fisheries than any federal policy. It’s time our BC Politicians stepped up. Invest in our fish habitat. Heavily. It’s overdue. Call it part of your ridiculously high carbon and environmental levies and fees, known as taxes to us citizens. Time to invest those taxes where it mattersmost, our environment!!!
