Dead fish in the Straight

alot of fish still get caught up , even with the doors..or die while gettin squeezed out the doors.. we see it alot in ukee, they netters will stretch out the nets on the landing and let the birds clean them out.. flounder, lil hali's, ratfish, etc etc.. sad really...

This is just wrong on so many levels. And we have the audacity to criticize the Alaskan pollack fisheries halibut bycatch.
Very hipacritical if you really think about it.Time to clean up our own back yard I'd say!

Wow....loosen the tin foil there just a bit. It's a big planet....a really big planet!

Let's not connect too many dots at once.

You do understand the Earth is really big right?.....really REALLY BIG?

I don't know much about mass fish deaths but I do know what the trend is for species around the world and it's not good. The go to people on this subject is a project called The red list. http://www.iucnredlist.org/

Here is a table from that site that maybe a bit out of date but is still telling.
THMHRJ

and here is one that's more up to date.

Clearly we are heading in the wrong direction and we should be considering every major project and what it means in this context. Once a species is gone there is no bringing them back.
