There was a fine fellow who's handle was Da Griz on the Excalibur Crossbow Forum. He was an extremely talented man who made friends quite easily and was open, warm & caring. Many, including I, shed a tear when he wandered on...
Those many moons ago I literally drooled over the amazing works of art that came from Da Griz's talented hands.
However in those days I simply could not afford to collect one.
Always regretted that...
Jump forward to just a very short time ago...
I happened to have a look at the Trading Post there, and lo & behold, there was listed an extremely fine example of his art.
I knew it was extremely likely my last chance to own one, so I pm'd the fellow who had it listed.
That fine gentleman gave me a good deal, and so we shook paws on it.
Paced until it showed...
She was well worth the wait!!
The pictures don't really do her justice!! Perfectly mirror imaged Damascus hand forged steel with an African hardwood burl handle.
This is indeed something I will cherish forever!
Many Thanks to Da Griz up yonder for your amazing talent.
Rest assured I will put it to good use, and fondly recall you each and every time I do!
Cheers,
Nog
