I hope others can contribute to this thread .I have expireanced molegals at nawity bar to the gap at race rocks, but when i came around the Nwest thurlow Tyee pt. I was almost swamped in the 16 ft ,so if i might add the light house at browns bay.Would others contribute to the eddys and flow so I and others may make wise choices.

I have never fished up in Campbell before fish camp. Driven by many a time and have seen the flow. I think timing would be the key. Hopefully others that fish that area can chip in.

I am assuming you are talking about the whirlpools? I havent fished up there in years, but you need to watch your tides and plan your trip around slack tide especially in a 16 ft boat. I seem to remember that there was about half an hour either side of the slack that was ok to run. Bigger tides equal bigger currents, so on a day with a small change that window might be bigger and a large swing would make it shorter.

Another spot was ebbing tide at the south enterance of quathiaski cove , south of grouse island .molegals 6 feet apart and 5 feet high.get midway to campell river spit , no wind and flat calm.Sometimes we in our boats come around a corner out of calm water to find a walls of water and with not enough fuel or daylight diminishing and must try to power though it to get home.Identify these spots and what tide and post so we can plan to avoid them on certain tides. If wind is up you might not see these spots untill to find yourself within and without enough power to run up and over the next molegal.Crazzy Education of these spots will make for a great thread.

Different location same problem,
be careful of a strong ebb against a southeast wind rounding Gonzales point.
it really stands the water up !
