Corroded aluminum

So I made a rookie mistake. Left anchor bag in bow and didn’t realize anchor bag had a hole. The anchor was resting on the aluminum and has started to corrode and pit it. Should I do anything to seal this or prevent further corrosion? I feel like such an butt.

As long as it's open to the air, aluminum creates a protective coating of aluminum oxide, naturally. The "oops" is cosmetic as long as it's not subject to any more damage.

If it’s bothering you maybe get some Aluma Bond and patch it. Give it a good buff and it will be out of your mind and lookin fresh.
