Cherry point coho

was just going to post the same thing today.
Last i heard they were in and fishing little pink buzz bombs was producing right from shore.

Out for a few hours this afternoon and forgot to take any spinning/casting gear.
Trolled around outside the 'bay', 25 feet and deeper. Nada.
Saw some boats working the shallows - the usual collection of everthing from float tubes to 24 footers, gotta love a close in to shore fishery. Don't know how they did.

Out for a few hours yesterday pm.
Beautiful flat calm.
Some jumpers.
But none caught.
Really beginning to wonder about my skill set, or maybe its the tackle.

you cant troll in there, its too shallow and they get spooked. Turn off the motor and cast small spoons, like trout size, or small small buzzbombs. play around with your retreival speed and colors if they arnt biting.

Did that, or at least until I got fed up with the weeds.
Going to have to get a fly rod with a floating line out there.

good luck! my brother said he was out last week with a friend fishign from shore. Both had identical set ups, exact same everything. They casted to the same place and retreived at the same speeds. His friend limited out and he didnt get a bite.
Go figure [?]
