First of the Post should have read ; Chek 6 Reporting Chinook Closure REQUESTED

Saw on Chek 6 News that a special group has supported and requeted of the DFO to have a total Closure of Chinook Salmon fishing on the West Coast for Recreational and Commercial Fishing but open to them , What is this all about ?

I thought there was suppose to be a record return this year ??????
