Centre console, seat options

What is your favourite seat setup for a centre console boat: flip-flop bench seat or normal / armchair seats (both options mounted on storage box). The advantage of the flip-flop bench is squeezing in an extra person or sitting close, and it's cheaper. The advantage of the normal / armchair seats is more comfort, swiveling, and sometimes it's practical for the driver to face forward while fishing partner faces stern.

Thanks.

Configuration I really like is the standing leaning bench / helm seat, with rear facing bench that bridgeview uses on their centre consoles. I just like to stand when I'm at the helm. Most boats seem to have preposterously low seating position, and you feel like a kid sitting behind the wheel - especially when not on plane and the bow is up in the air.

If your typical time to destination is less than 2hrs, my preference is standing with a leaning post.

My jasper (see profile pic) has a reversible backrest, so theoretically can be used as the helm seat, but I just reverse it and use as a rear facing bench while I stand and lean against it - its a good compromise, but the Bridgeview setup is better.

Very helpful response, thanks. Bridgeview has given good thought to their seating. I like the stern sun seat, I want to do something similar, but add a fish locker with it.
