Beloved actor Catherine O'Hara has died at the age of 71. The Canadian star brought joy and laughter to people around the world for decades, from her time on Canada's sketch comedy series SCTV to playing Macaulay Culkin's mom in Home Alone, and starring in a number of Christopher Guest films, including Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show. Most recently, O'Hara starred in the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series The Studio, co-created by fellow Canadian Seth Rogen. She also won an Emmy for her work on Schitt's Creek back in 2020.
Reflecting on O'Hara's best roles is both easy and difficult at once, because she was the kind of talent that really elevated every project she touched.
But some characters just feel particularly special, and at a time when we're all remembering our fondest moments we've shared watching O'Hara, these are some of the movies and TV shows that stand out.
