I cant rightfully wreck this perspective buyers fugly dreams so I guess I better fixer up ..IMG_4991.jpg after looking it over we determined 41 year of service was enough for this trailer tongue... (73 caulkins)

IMG_4998.jpg off to find a 6' piece of 3inch square tube in the morning, 2- 3"x5" u,bolts and 3 1/2'x4' bolts and a little work with the fire-glue and were golden... check you trailer tongues people... I was lucky (again)...:p

I've seen where alotta guys will weld another tube stiffener directly under the original tube to shore it up. that's before it gets bent though....

Ya the whole reach is rotten and the only way to fix it is replace it wow, had no idea it was quite that bad, lucky it never broke clean off, i would never sell a trailer like that to anyone and ya she was buckled, i had to use the jack and the tilt wheel to get it off the ball..goin to get some parts this morning.. Stay tuned.. Ops could move this thread to the boats n trailer thread.. Is a good eye opener to anyone with an older bomber boat.. Check your trailer reaches people.. I could stick a screwdriver right thru this one..

Good suggestion to check things over. Thank goodness for galvanized steel in our salt waterways!
