Carp on Vancouver Island

My father is visiting me soon. Is there any place in Vancouver Island where I can take him for some carp fishing ? Preferably north of Nanaimo buffalo we can travel if necessary.

You really have to commit to the process. Leave the rod in the sand and go drink beer. Youtube made me a carp master. Make your own bait balls. You'll get them.

Makes sense.. I have gotten a few with trolled flys but also quite a few fouled hooked trolling flys.

For the experts?
All the fouled hooked ones are hooked on their dorsal fin. They must use their lateral line to sense the fly at times?

When you see a school of carp stacked up look for the lone soldiers by themselfs around the group they are most likely to bite usually they have there nose on the bottom feeding, a woolly bugger is a really good fly to use for them.
