Campion 542 explorer captain seat

Hi guys! New boater here. Just bought me a new campion and i have a problem with my captain's seat. If i move it closest to the steering wheel it is still to far away for me to rest my back against the back of the chair, i end up sitting on the edge of the seat while driving.

Is there a ways of solving this? I talked with dealer and they said they can't help, and that basically everyone is driving like this. Is this true?

When driving standing for a short period of time it's ok, but when going somewhere far to sit on the edge of the sit is not so comfortable.

just buy a new seat with longer track/base and fix it ?

I have a 2017 542 and can comfortably sit in the chair with my back resting against the back seat with bend in my arm. I'm 6'1".

Just a thought.... maybe the seat and frame is opposite if it moves back but not forward enough. Not sure if I’m getting my point across.
