Camping + Fishing

Hi guys
Very new at fishing and looking for a location to fish that doesnt require a boat (relatively close to a campsite).
I was looking at the Discovery Fishing Pier in Campbell River, but there doesnt seem to be much information on whether or not people are catching fish there.

I don't think any one has caught a salmon yet seems like quite a few we're caught by this time last year might try elk falls campground and fishing for cuties at the mouth of the quinsam or posting in the open seat thread under saltwater.

go over to quadra and camp at we,wai ,kai,, lakes on the island are good for trout... or cast off at the end of rebecca spit. caught many coho and a few good springs with a chrome buzz - bomb...

Double check your regs for the river but I know beach fishing can be very hot here for coho and pinks in the summer.

Try Cluxewe (Port McNeil) campground for pinks and Coho later in the summer. One of my favorites and the camp is very well taken care of!
