A friend tried his ace on my boat last year and I thought it was incredibly slow-standard wiring for a Scotty-What size wire is recommended for a line hauler for optimum resuls?

Mike I just asked that my self when I was at Ace a couple weeks ago. 14ga I was told. I use tined 12 and I know some boat shops wire them up using 10.

I wired my Scotty plugs with #10 because I already owned the Ace. Good for 30 amps. It seems to pull as advertised? It doesn't matter as much if you keep your runs short.

Sounds like they might be SF......Maybe you need to cut a few holes in them to let some prawns out on the way up? lol Cheers!
