I have my eye on a painting of a couple chinooks going after a mooched live herring.
It's framed and I wondered what the approx value might be. It says 287/500.
Thanks

Thanks but still can't find the painting online. It is signed in pencil by him.
Is it worth more than $300 ? I'm guessing yes.

Most limited editions are hand signed and numbered. Yours being the 287th out of 500 ( I paint as a hobby) I put that link up so you could see that his prints go for the $200-$300 range. How the print you are interested in is framed will affect the price.
However the bottom line is how much it is going for and how much you want it. LOL! :)

It is a great limited addition print. I remember seeing it as a draw prize at a fish and wildlife fundraising dinner in Campbell River a couple of years or so back and am still interested in a copy if the price was right. I seem to recall it was a fair size so the framing alone would likely cost a couple of hundred or so ( double matted, acid free paper, anti glare glass etc.). Did a quick look on line and could not find a copy for sale, so it may be sold out.

Yes it is a fair size. The matting etc. is all good. Starting to sound good for $250 - $300

Hey Nog, I'll be heading your way soon. Keep me posted.

Hey Tortuga,

I've got a bunch of ltd editions and the prices depend on the artist/print-run/framing quality and the quality of the print and it's artistic value. On average, if you can get a Ltd edition like the one you're talking about, fully framed with all the fixin's you'd usually be looking at about $650-$1100 at an art shop. Private sales go for more or less depending on the previously mentioned criteria. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me though.

I have a similar question. I know some of the general values of the prints; however, I am wondering if people know the names of the following prints. I am trying to insert photos so I hope it works. I am wondering if the salmon one is the one you were referring to.IMAG0509.jpgIMAG0510.jpgIMAG0511.jpg

Thats the one I bought. Pd 300 for it in a nice frame.
I actaully talked to Bruce Muir on the phone about it, nice guy.
I forgot what he called it though

Does anyone know who painted the picture that became the salmon stamp?? I believe it was someone on this forum, they also did a painting for the Loggers Derby two years ago. Maybe they did one this year too but I didn't make it to the prize ceremony in time...

Beautiful work, would like to get in touch with them sometime.

Cheers.
