Broken steering line

I just love these last second repairs. Took the boat for a quick spin last Wdnesday
To make sure all was well for the Bamfield trip,and the steering teleflex line broke....
Picked up a new cable and fittings yesterday and have it almost in now....I hate how the line runs up the middle of the boat,and the floorboards have to get taken up...Lot of work but hopefully it will be in and working in another hour or so...Then it's
putting the floor back in and the seats...Glad most of my stuff for Bamfield is readY to load...
hope to catch the first ferry tomorrow and be up at Seabeam by lunchtime....

Significant initial outlay, but once you have hydrolic steering you will not want to ever go back to cable.

Mine is a teleflex rotory system, generally very smooth until a few days ago...Hydraulic is way too fancy for a Jetboat that spends most of her life in The Fraser until,recently...
Found a nice mouse nest under the floorboards!!
