Boating accident today

Was on the 5 ferry outta horseshoe and there was quite the commotion. I just missed the actual event. There were a bunch of people in the rentals from seawells probaly 10+ and i see a boat doing donuts at full throttle. I soon see nobody is in this boat and its at full throttle doing super tight donuts? wtf!? It looks like maybe boats collided and they were thrown out of the boat then the steering turned so it donuts or they were idiots hit a bad wake and got tossed. I watched probaly 10 boats trying to stop this thing to no avail as it was ripping. it was a 16fter with about a 50. Right in the way of the ferry so it was a mess with all the traffic. Jumping into it was far to risky so the only thing i could think of is towing a rope across the prop and trying to foul it up so somebody could jump in... I got some vid but doubt i can post it

I was almost T-Boned by a Sewells rental. All you need to rent a boat is a drivers license.This is wrong.

i agree i watched a few people with no clue at all going full tilt off a wake that stacked on the ferry wake. Easly could have flipped or swamped it.. Thats how these accidents happpen...

They buy insurance just like every other idiot that's all Sewell's cares about.

About the rope in the prop trick I just saw a bunch of pics about that a guy back east had fallen out of his boat and somebody picked him up and was trying to stop the boat by throwing out ropes to snag the prop it took 5 ropes for the thing to slow down!

pulled a guy out of the Fraser same scenerio cranked the motor then gunned it flew out like a rag doll then the boats doing donuts around him as he drifts down the river in chest wader I might add, so I nosed my boat up to the bow of his and buddy jump in got control of the boat we pulled him in after he went down for third time

good example of why to use the emergency shut off cord you clip to yourself when boating alone.
