Howdy,

I went throught the same thing as you a few months back.
Looked around, slim pickens, most of it was junk or unsafe and still, not cheap.

I finlally bit the bullet and contacted Rick at Empire Welding out on Goldstream in Langford.

He came out and measured my boat then custom-built me a 7000/lb tandem with surge-brakes (DOT-inspected) for way less than I could have bought a 4000/lb Highliner/Roadrunner.

He does excellent work.
