Can anyone recommend a good marine insurance company and agent in Vancouver. Which insurance underwriters have been the best to deal with when you've had a claim. Looking for a few recommendations in Vancouver proper, if possible.

When I looked into this last year VIIC was the cheapest and with the best coverage for BC waters. They cover for the first 40 miles offshore or something like it. Covered for all classes of water as well. It also cover you when transporting from A to B and so one. Where ever you tow your boat. The plan for my boat was $300. What ever you do or who ever you go with look into the policies and exclusions. Because insurance policies are brutal to deal with.

Ask questions...most won't volunteer the what ifs. I found out last year that unless my boat sitting in the driveway on the trailer is locked by chain that I'm wasn't covered for theft. How pissed would I be to find that out the hard way!!!!

P.F if they wanted it they would take it anyways chain or no chain how the hell would they know, i guess they stole the chain too officermaybe a hitch locking device would provide better protection.
