boat courses in Sooke...PCOC, VHF, SVOP

A note on behalf of the Sooke community education program, for Sooke boaters in need of education...there are minimum #s or the courses won't run. Save yourself a drive to Vic, support Sooke community school!

Oct 2/3: PCOC
Oct 3: VHF ROC-M

They are offering to put on an SVOP course in January, $570 for 3 days, Jan 8/9/15. Need a minimum of 8 registrants to run.

You can call the school direct if you want, 250-642-6371. They are keeping names for a waiting list. The ROC one is scheduled, but not enough people to run yet. The SVOP one they added on my suggestion, will run it if 8 participants can be found ... 6 more to go!



re: 15th, it could be 15th or 16th I think, and I understand it is 3 full days of instruction, probably with a test at the end.

Do you no what the cost is on the ROC-M?

The ROC-M one is listed in the EMCS brochure at $115+tax, PCOC is $110.

Bumping this forward, in case anyone might be interested in a Sooke SVOP course. Jan 8/9/15.
I think there's 4 signed up so far, needs 8 to run.
