Hey all,

I'm looking to get a custom 28ft landing craft built for whale watching and am curious to hear people's opinions about builders. Looking to hear feedback on designs, build quality, customer service experience, whether or not they stand by their products, reliability, timings etc.

Has anyone had experience with:
Back eddy boats
Riptide boats
Other campbell river builders other than Eagle cos they are too expensive (quoted twice the price of other ppl)
Anyone else worth looking into.

Did the naval architect or plan supplier give you some names to check out?

My buddy at Maple Leaf Charters went with Jasper Marine, for his landing crafts, not on the island but pretty dam close. Was very happy with them after the first season.

I'm looking for a boat builder that also does designs. Only a 28ft landing craft so I'm sure there are tons of plans for those boats already.
