Another derby weekend..

I made a joke on another board when some one asked for a report..... Saturday morning pretty much looked like this..
Sketchy weather for sure.
Really it wasn't that bad...
It started to clear...
We managed to bump into one..
Can you pick the hot rod?
Weighed it in and it wasn't what we wanted.. We tried again for the afternoon shift to no avail.......
The next morning running in the dark with zero fog and pee on a plate seas...... watching the beginning of the meteor shower that will show best tonight.... wicked...
Gear down by flashlight and........
There was a triathlon in Sooke today..... TSN was flying around...
But no fish even though we were in the spot
Lost one and saw others captured
The food at the event was PDG, amazing weekend weather wise, and a great time was had.. And got a prize that was worth more than the ticket that got it.
Wicked fun time.
Fishin is slow unless you're a rockstar.. (it was slow for me but know guys that did well)
Back out in the am for a spin with the kids
Man, fish all that time over the weekend for a 21... in the Bite Me derby.
Head out the day after with the kids in the fog and slop, with one rod, fish for 40 minutes in total and in the first 15 get a fish that would have put me around 20th yesterday... go figure.
Oh well, left lots of time for swimming at the potholes
